SPORT not confined by closed environments and lines (gyms and fields), nor by rules, but understood as a set of all motor activities that can be carried out outdoors in contact with nature.

It is in the spirit of this healthy and formative principle that GAIA proposes a program of Environmental Education, which mainly consists of introducing river and lake ecosystems and their interaction with the historical, cultural and socio-economic evolution of populations, also using special inflatable boats (rafts), which will offer the opportunity to directly elaborate, from a privileged point of view, the notions acquired during theoretical lessons.

We would like to emphasize the enthusiasm that this program, developed also on the basis of work already carried out with hundreds of classes since 1992, arouses in young people, the consequent cognitive benefit, the novelty in the context of similar proposals and the absolute safety of the rafting excursions conducted by instructors of the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation (C.O.N.I.) of the Sibillini Rafting Center.

The diversity of places and biotopes where the programs can be carried out allows us to differentiate the offers and adapt them to the most diverse needs of school groups on the river. It ranges from the Clitunno Springs, for which the Romans imagined a god given the grandeur of the places presented to them, to the Regional Park of Colfiorito where you can admire a unique example of a marsh, from Lake Trasimeno to the Nera and Corno rivers within the Sibillini National Park, whose karst nature makes them navigable all year round. Environmental education, in which it will be possible to include specific subjects (environmental ethics, ethology, mycology, naturalistic drawing, etc.), will be curated by the best naturalists and biologists who have been working in the sector for years, while the anthropological part will be illustrated by scholars in the field.
